Textbooks, electronics, and even clothing could be found in “like new” condition without the hefty price tag. Amazon, Best Buy, eBay, and Poshmark are all reputable retailers of used products.  

Earn a Bonus Using a Shopping Portal: Shopping portals work by providing bonuses back to users for purchases initiated through the portal. If you’re already making the purchase, might as well earn a bonus back where possible. At the time of this writing, retailers like Staples & Walmart are offering 2% cash back on Rakuten, while others like Office Depot are increasing their bonus to 5% cash back during the back-to-school season.

Use That Student Discount: School can be expensive. Take advantage of student discounts where you can with this perk! Many companies mark a percentage off items when you show your student ID. This can be huge for large purchases like computers and other essential electronics. 

Buy During the Texas Sales Tax Holiday: August 9-11 of 2024 will be the Sales Tax Holiday for the state of Texas. The Texas Comptroller decides these dates, and the tax exemptions during those dates include clothing, footwear, backpacks, and school supplies.
